1. Overview
Artisan View is developed by R Castro Silva Consultoria em Tecnologia Ltda. ("Rafacst Consultoria", CNPJ 66.424.919/0001-10), the controller of the data processed under this policy. The app was designed with privacy from the start: everything you create (formulas, batches, inventory, sales, expenses, and settings) lives on your devices and, if you choose, in your private iCloud (Apple) or your Google Drive. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your production data, and we do not sell or share your information for advertising.
2. Data stored on your device
The app stores your data locally using SwiftData, Apple's native data framework. This includes formulas and recipes, raw materials and packaging, production batches, inventory, sales, expenses, losses, and app preferences. This data is never sent to us.
On Windows, the app keeps the same data in a local SQLite file on your computer. It is never sent to us either, and you can erase it in the app's Settings. If you turn on Google Drive sync (see section 3), a copy of your data is kept in your own Google Drive.
3. Sync and backup
If you keep iCloud enabled, your Apple devices sync through CloudKit in your private iCloud container. Data is encrypted in transit and tied to your Apple Account: we cannot access it. You can turn syncing on or off at any time in your device's Settings.
As a cross-platform option, the app offers Google Drive sync, available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Windows. Connecting Google Drive is a separate step from signing in: its own consent, which can even use a different Google account. When you enable it, the app keeps a copy of your data in a private, app-only folder in your Google Drive (the app cannot see your other Drive files). The data stays in your Google account, under your control, and travels over secure connections (HTTPS): we cannot access it. Sync can be automatic or manual, and you can turn it off and disconnect the account at any time in the app's Settings.
4. Local device-to-device transfer
The app can transfer catalogs directly between two devices on the same Wi-Fi network using Bonjour. The transfer happens device to device, without the internet or a cloud service, and does not pass through any external server.
5. Camera and document scanning
When you scan Brazilian invoices (NF-e / DANFE) or barcodes (GTIN), the camera and recognition system (Vision OCR) work locally on your device. Images are processed on the device to extract data and are not uploaded anywhere unless you choose to save them to your private iCloud. The app uses the camera only while you are scanning.
6. Spreadsheet and file imports
When you import spreadsheets (XLSX) or files to add ingredients and products, the content is read and processed on your device. Imported files are not sent to us.
7. Sharing and exports
Exports and shares, for example sending a catalog or report, are started by you and use the system's own sharing features. You choose where the files go; the app does not send this content to our servers.
8. Servers, tracking, and ads
Artisan View does not operate a server that stores your production data, does not show ads, and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not build advertising profiles or use advertising identifiers. The account used to purchase on this website and the website's audience measurement are described in sections 10 and 12.
9. Purchases and subscriptions
Artisan View is offered with three payment options: a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, and a lifetime purchase, all with the same features. There are two purchase channels, and data is handled differently depending on where you buy.
App Store purchase (inside the app): payment, renewal, and billing are processed by Apple and tied to your Apple Account. We do not have access to your card or payment-method details.
Purchase on this website: checkout is provided by RevenueCat Web Billing, which uses Stripe as its payment processor. You enter your card details on Stripe's checkout screen, and those details never pass through us: we do not see, receive, or store your card number, expiration date, or security code. To complete the purchase, RevenueCat and Stripe receive your email address, your Artisan View account identifier, and the information needed for billing and receipts. Stripe acts as an independent controller for its fraud-prevention and financial obligations.
In both channels, we use RevenueCat to verify and manage the status of your purchase or subscription. RevenueCat receives your account identifier, subscription status, and, for web purchases, your email address. It never receives your production data (formulas, batches, inventory, or sales). The legal basis for this processing is performance of the contract. Renewal, cancellation, and refund rules are described in the Terms of use.
10. Your Artisan View account
You need an account to purchase on this website. We use Google's Firebase Authentication to create and authenticate that account. We process the following data:
- Email address and an encrypted password, or your Google or Apple account identifier if you choose one of those sign-in methods.
- Name, when your sign-in provider supplies it.
- Internal account identifier (UID), used to connect your purchase to your access in the app.
- Account creation and last sign-in dates, plus whether your email address has been verified.
We use this information to process purchases, unlock the app on your devices, and provide support. The legal basis is performance of the contract. We keep this data for as long as your account exists. We do not use your account for advertising or share it with third parties other than the service providers named in this policy.
Signing in with Google. When you use "Sign in with Google", we access the following data from your Google Account: your email address, your basic profile information (your name, when available), and your Google Account identifier. We never receive your password, and we do not access your contacts, calendar, files, Gmail, or any other data in your Google Account. Optional Google Drive sync is a separate consent from this sign-in (section 3) and is limited to a private, app-only folder.
Use: we process this data only to create and authenticate your Artisan View account, connect your purchase to your access, and provide support. Storage and protection: it is kept for as long as your account exists, is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and internal access is limited to what is necessary; you can request deletion at any time (section 16), completed within 30 days. Sharing: we do not share this data with third parties except the strictly necessary service providers already named in this policy. Our use of information received from Google APIs, and any transfer of it to another application, adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. In particular, your Google Account data is not used for advertising or targeted marketing, is not sold or transferred to data brokers, is not used to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, is not used for creditworthiness or lending decisions, and is not used for any purpose other than providing and improving Artisan View's features. You can revoke Artisan View's access to your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Signing in with Apple. When you use "Sign in with Apple", we receive your name (when you choose to share it) and an email, which may be an Apple private relay address. We use this data for the same purpose and under the same limits described above.
11. App usage analytics
We use TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used and where it can improve. TelemetryDeck collects only anonymous, aggregated data: no personal identifiers, no cross-app tracking, and no user profiles. You can turn off this data sharing in the app's Settings at any time.
On Windows, the app uses Aptabase, which we host ourselves at data.rafacst.me, for the same purpose and with the same care. No user identity is sent: identifiers are hashed with SHA-256 on your computer before they leave it. You can turn it off in Settings › About, inside the app.
12. This website: analytics and cookies
This website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to measure audience activity: how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they arrive. Google Analytics does this by storing first-party cookies in your browser (for example, _ga) with a random identifier and the date of your visit. We use this information in aggregate to improve the site. We do not use advertising cookies, do not run remarketing, and do not sell this data.
This measurement is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time. On your first visit, a Privacy preferences notice appears with a Turn off analytics option. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring site audience, and turning it off does not limit anything: the site, sign-in, and checkout work the same way.
You can change your mind at any time. Use the "Cookie preferences" button at the bottom of the screen to review or withdraw your permission. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, use a private browsing window, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Sign-in and checkout also store data in your browser because they need it to function: it keeps your authenticated session and payment state. Without this storage, you cannot sign in or complete a purchase.
The contact form exists only so you can send us a message, and we use the email address you provide only to reply.
13. International data transfers
Apple, Google (Firebase and Google Drive), RevenueCat, Stripe, and TelemetryDeck operate servers in the United States and Europe, outside Brazil, where we are established. When you create an account or purchase on this website, the data described above is processed in those countries. The transfer is made for the performance of our contract with you, and each provider maintains its own contractual data-protection safeguards. Your production data is not part of those transfers: it stays on your device and, if you enable sync, in your private iCloud or your Google Drive.
14. Data we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your formulas, recipes, or production secrets.
- We do not receive or store your card details.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not read your contacts, photos, or other apps.
- We do not share data with third parties for advertising.
- We do not create user profiles for resale.
15. Children's privacy
Artisan View is a business-management app for professionals and is not intended for children. Purchases on this website are intended for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child created an account or sent us information by mistake, email [email protected] so we can delete it.
16. Deleting your data and account
Production data: it stays on your device and in your iCloud, so you have direct control over it. You can delete individual records or all data in the app's Settings, and those deletions sync to iCloud. Uninstalling the app and removing its iCloud data removes the synchronized copies. On Windows the data sits in a local file on your computer; if you use Google Drive sync, a copy also sits in your Google Drive. Erasing it in the app's Settings is a separate action: deleting your account does not touch it.
Artisan View account: request deletion on the delete my account page or by emailing [email protected] from the address registered to your account. We delete the account and sign-in data within 30 days and confirm by email. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first or ask us to cancel it with your request. We may retain transaction records for as long as tax law requires.
17. Your rights over your data
You can ask us to confirm whether we process your data; access it; correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data; delete data that is unnecessary or was processed unlawfully; send you a portable copy; tell you who we share it with; and withdraw your consent where consent is the legal basis. Because most of your production data exists only on your devices, you already exercise direct control over it. For account and purchase data, email [email protected]. We respond within 15 days.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app, third-party services, or the law. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or on this website. The date below shows when this policy was last updated.
19. Contact
For privacy questions or requests about your data, email [email protected]. We respond within two business days.
