About
From the workbench to the end of the month.
Artisan View started from a sum almost nobody finishes: what a bar coming out of the mould actually costs. Between the oil bought by the drum and the number on the label sit the packaging, the fragrance that evaporates, the trimmings from the cut and your own hours at the bench. The app exists so that sum stops living across three spreadsheets and a page of a notebook.
Formulate
Enter a formula by percentage or by weight, with its record sheet and INCI list. Scaling the same soap from ten bars to a hundred does not mean redoing the arithmetic.
Produce
Every batch keeps its date, its yield and its lot code. Ingredient stock comes down with it, and the shelf life is recorded somewhere you can find later.
Price
The real cost of the batch becomes a suggested price at the margin you choose, wholesale and retail, with no markup pulled out of the air.
What it does
From the ingredient to the price.
You enter it once. The app works out the cost of the batch, keeps the production history, and shows what was left at the end of the month. Pricing stops being guesswork.
See how it works, screen by screen.Who it is for
Starting out or at scale.
The sum behind what to charge is the same for a first batch and for a workshop that never stops. The size changes, the method does not.
Stop guessing the price.
You have made your first batches and still set the price by looking at the next stall along. Here you find out what each bar cost you, and reach a price that pays for the oils, the power and your time.
Get production out of the spreadsheet.
Orders are routine now, batches pile up, and the spreadsheet no longer keeps pace. Formulas, batches, stock and sales in one place, with the history traceability asks for.
Where it runs
On iPhone, on iPad and on Mac.
Artisan View is built to be used standing up, in the middle of a batch, with your hands full. The same workshop opens later on iPad and on Mac, with the data kept in your own private iCloud. No account is needed to use the app.
Always open to ideas
Something missing? Write in.
Artisan View is small on purpose and grows by being used: every new feature is there because someone who makes soap asked for it. If something would make the app serve your production better, say what it is.
